Real estate law

The rental rights practice of THL Advocaten focuses on housing associations and other professional renters. We offer advice relating to policy issues and provide guidance to renters when drawing up rental agreements for a definite or indefinite period, rehousing projects, nuisance issues and rental fraud cases. We also have significant experience with legal proceedings, for example, with restructuring, cannabis, nuisance and rental fraud.
In the construction sector, we provide guidance for contractors, clients and advisers. Not only are we fully conversant with the law, but also with all of the specific sector conditions. In the event of a dispute, we take legal action via the courts of law or the competent arbitration institutions.

With regard to the purchase and selling of immovable property, we provide guidance for the transactions and we assist purchasers and sellers in the event of disputes. For example, disputes relating to defects to the property sold or, for example, with or without good reason, invoking a financing arrangement clause. We can assist you with:

  • Drawing up of rental agreements
  • Temporary rental
  • Rent adjustment / rent harmonisation
  • Nuisance proceedings
  • Restructuring
  • Subletting and rental fraud
  • Substitutive representation
  • Defects
